I grew up in the cold and snowy backwoods of upstate New York. My family owned a cross country touring center, so I learned how to ski just after learning how to walk. From Bill Koch to Junior Nationals to collegiate racing, skiing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
After graduating from Middlebury College with a degree in Biology and Secondary Education I decided that it was time to get off of the East coast. I moved to Bend in January 2007 with the goal of continuing to train and race. This winter I am looking forward to racing several different distances and formats that I have not raced in the past, namely, I am very excited for my first marathon.
